Zico Mahrady

Head Coach

Zico Mahrady grew up playing football in Toronto before making a move overseas to play in countries such as France, Qatar, Sweden, and Morocco. His experience playing internationally allowed him the opportunity to be educated by influential coaches, who have been supportive of his direction and growth as a coach. He attended Toronto Metropolitan University (Ryerson)  where he studied Law and Psychology.
  
Zico made the full-time transition into coaching in 2015 and since then has led several teams to success both domestically and internationally, with notable wins against top youth sides such as AIK Stockholm U19 (Sweden), and Brondby FF U19 (Denmark). Most recently Zico was an integral part of the Simcoe County Rovers League 1 2023 championship.   

Zico's coaching education is derived from his experiences in the Netherlands with FC Utrecht, Feyenoord Rotterdam, and Glasgow Rangers FC. He Holds his Canadian National B License, and UEFA B Diploma, and is currently in the process of completing his CONCACAFA License and UEFA A Diploma.

Wais Zili Azizi

Assistant Coach

Wais Zilli is currently in the concluding stage of obtaining his UEFA A license from Scotland, complementing his existing UEFA B accreditation from Germany. With a coaching journey that commenced in 2011, Wais has consistently demonstrated his passion and expertise in the field. From 2011 to 2016, he served as the Head Coach of an OSL men's team, achieving remarkable success by securing promotion from MJ to Regional level. In 2016, Wais took the helm of a U18 CSL team, guiding them to both league and cup championships. In 2017, Wais assumed the role of Head Coach for the U21 OSL provincial team, an experience that culminated in a commendable runner-up finish to the TFC academy. Throughout his coaching career, Wais Zilli has consistently exhibited a commitment to excellence, fostering the development and success of players at various levels.

Arta Mohasses

Assistant Coach

Arta has been coaching in Canada and abroad for 15 years. During this time, he has attained a UEFA B License and is a PFSA (Professional Football Scouts Association) Level Two Opposition Analyst. He is on track to complete his CONCACAF B license in 2024. In addition, Arta is a Masters of Science graduate from York University’s School of Kinesiology and Health Science. Utilizing his academic and coaching knowledge, Arta has taken on a number of roles in North America. His experience spans from directing a regional academy at TAC Sports Group to working in high-performance streams at North Toronto and Oakville Soccer Club. He has OCAA experience having been a member of the Mohawk Mountaineers coaching staff since July 2022. In addition, Arta has experience as an opposition analyst with USL 2 side Brazos Valley Calvary during their 2022 season. Abroad, Arta worked in the United Arab Emirates for three years, at Al Nasr Football Club Academy. He was the head coach of Abu Dhabi University’s men's Soccer team and was working for several local academies in Dubai.

Paul Smith

Assistant Coach & Goal Keeper Coach

Born in Fleet, Hampshire, England, Paul boasts an impressive background in soccer. He honed his skills in the youth ranks of Portsmourth FC Academy before transitioning to semi-professional play with Fleet Town FC. Paul holds an array of licenses, including the Canada Soccer National B, Canada Soccer Diploma, Ontario Soccer Technical Diploma, and BSC Sport Development & Coaching Sciences from Bournemouth University, UK.

His coaching journey has been marked by notable achievements, with a highlight being the L1O Champions in 2023. Currently serving as the Technical Director for Newmarket SC, Paul also lends his expertise as a coach at Reading FC development centre, specializing in both overall player development and goalkeeper training. His commitment extends to the Reading FC Women's First Team, where he serves as an Assistant Coach and Goalkeeper Coach.
With a wealth of experience and a dedication to advancing soccer at various levels, Paul stands as a dynamic force in the soccer community.

Donte Henry

Team Manager & Assistant Sporting Director

Donte began his career at the Woodbridge Soccer Club, he quickly rose through the ranks, captaining the provincial team at both the U14 and U15 levels in Ontario. Donte's prowess earned him a spot on the youth international stage, representing Canada at the U15 level in the Copa México de Naciones and later progressing to the U16 national team.

Continuing his development at Toronto FC Academy from U16 to U18, Donte showcased his skills at the highest youth levels. His playing career culminated at Wilfrid Laurier University, where he brought his on-field experience to the collegiate arena.

Post-university, Donte seamlessly transitioned from player to community leader while pursuing his postgraduate degree in Financial Services and Marketing Management at George Brown. The opportunity to contribute to the Simcoe County Rovers FC arose, leading Donte to take on the role of Equipment Manager. In a successful 2024 campaign that saw the Rovers claim the L1O championship, Donte's impact was undeniable.

In recognition of his contributions, Donte has been bestowed with a new title for the upcoming season — Team Manager and Assistant Sporting Director. This elevated role signifies his commitment to driving success both on and off the field, further solidifying his place in the dynamic world of soccer management.

Dr. Milad Mohib

Head Fitness Coach & Athletic Therapist

Dr. Milad Mohib graduated from the University of Western Ontario with an Honours Degree in Kinesiology in 2010 and obtained a Doctor of Chiropractic at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2014. After attaining his chiropractic degree, he completed a Master of Science degree specializing in Biomechanics at the University of Guelph in 2016. He recently attained his Sports Fellowship through the Royal College of Chiropractic Sports Sciences in 2023. He is a NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. He has previously worked with numerous youth and semi-professional sports clubs as a physical therapy provider and strength and conditioning coach.

Kwabena Owusu

Equipment Manager

Kwabena Owusu brings a wealth of youth player experience at the provincial level. His journey has seen him represent esteemed clubs, including Vaughan S.C., Glen Shields, and a brief stint at North Toronto L1. Kwabena holds a CSA C-License, underscoring his commitment to professional development in coaching.

Currently serving as a youth coach at North Toronto S.C., Kwabena's transition to managing at the League 1 level marks an exciting new chapter in his career. With a background rooted in nurturing talent and a dedication to excellence, he aspires to play a pivotal role in guiding Simcoe County Rovers F.C. toward achieving their sporting goals for the upcoming season and beyond. Kwabena Owusu's multifaceted experience positions him as a valuable asset as the team endeavors to reach new heights.

Carli Tingstad

While maintaining her Canada Soccer National B License, Carli has most recently completed her UEFA Licensing through the Scottish Football Association completing her UEFA B License in 2019 then furthering on to her UEFA A License in 2023. She holds a Masters of Science in Sport Performance Coaching from the University of Stirling and a Bachelor of Physical Education and Coaching from Douglas College. In terms of coaching experience, Carli was the Assistant Coach at the University of British Columbia Okanagan for 7 years before moving to Ontario to become the Head Coach of the Women’s Soccer Program at Brock University. Since moving to Ontario in August 2022 for the Head Coaching Job at Brock University Carli has coached in L1 Ontario and is currently working with the Ontario Soccer Xcel Program. Finally, in 2023Carli served as the Analyst for the Women’s First Team at FC Nordsjælland, who competes in the top division in Denmark.
