Sports Medicine Provides Sports Science Program for Rovers

BARRIE -- The Simcoe County Rovers Football Club is proud to announce our partnership with Sports Medicine, Barrie's largest Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Centre.

For over 33 years, Sports Medicine has been the largest rehabilitation company in the region for the treatment of sport injuries, worker injuries and orthopaedics. The benefits of this partnership for Rovers players include players having an Athletic Therapist as a team trainer (Taylor Ley) and having rapid access to physicians and the clinic’s orthopaedic surgeons.

Additionally, players will have access to chiropractors, sport physiotherapists, FCAMPT physiotherapists, registered massage therapists and more to keep players healthy and on the field.

Sports Medicine provides treatment in a multi-disciplinary facility that provides one stop integrated health services.

Rovers president Julian de Guzman says this is an important partnership for the team.

Our goal as a new L1 Ontario Team is to ensure our athletes have access to consistent quality care in an environment that gets our players better quickly and safely. This agreement helps us achieve those goals and will assist Simcoe County Rovers FC players with their overall health and staying on the field.

"Sports Medicine has been widely recognized as leaders in the Barrie and Huronia region, and we are certainly pleased to have them as our partner. This agreement ensures our FC players are positioning themselves for success and have access to great care."
